Bhikkhu Sangha's United Buddhist Mission (BSUBM) is a public trust, registered under:

Five catagory of laws

1) The Society Registration Act XXI of 1860 Reg. No. 536/83 G.B.B.S.D. Bom.

2) Bombay Public Trust Act XXIX of 1950.

3) Charitable Trust Act of 1961, 12 A , 9 A No . Ins/24570.

4) Income Tax Exemption Act order No. DIT(E)MC/80-G/775/2002.

5) Foreing Contribution Act FCRA No. 11/21022/68 (130) 98 FCRA

And have been functioning in the socially, economically and politically motivated Mumbai (Bombay) city with an objective to work for social, educational and cultural upliftment and development of the under privileged class of the society in particular and the society as a whole in general. The BSUBM is well known in Mumbai City and in the state of Maharashtra and all over India since last 20 years. The BSUBM has published a book in 1995 giving details of identified 50 aims and objectives. In order to teach the Dhamma and strengthen the knowledge of Dhamma through activities comprising of universal love, compassion, peace and harmonious message of the Lord Buddha all over India and in other countries, the BSUBM have started the construction work of the historical centre known as "Social, Educational, Cultural Centre And Buddha Vihara" through which all Dhamma activities could be initiated.

VENERABLE BHADANT RAHULA BODHI

Venerable Bhadant Rahula Bodhi, Maha Thero is a renowned name in the Buddhist world. He is the founder President and Trustee of the Bhikkhu Sangha's United Buddhist Mission, India.

He got his Bhikkhu Upasana under the holy Mahabodhi Tree of Bouddha Gaya by the blessings of Maha Bhikkhu Sangha under the guidance of his renowned teacher late Dr. Venerable Bhadant Anand Kausalyayan in the year 1971. Since then he keeps travelling in India as well as worldwide to deliver lecturers on Dhamma, the path or method taught by the Buddha for us to follow in order to maintain our human dignity and intelligence to lead a noble or righteous way of life. He can speak, read, write in English, Hindi, Marathi, Pali, and Sanskrit and can speak and understand Singhali. He undertook Vipasanna Meditation courses under Venerable Dr. Bhadant Anand Kausalyayan, Dr. S.N. Goenka Guruji, Venerable Sumatipalo Maha Thero of Sri Lanka and Venerable Vangissa Maha Thero of Sri Lanka. As one of the activities of BSUBM, Venerable Bhadant Rahul Bodhi has arranged till date more than 200 Vipassana courses covering more than 10,000 persons have participated.

Venerable Bhadant Rahula Bodhi has written and published 15 books on Dhamma literature and 10 audiocassettes to educate the people. His publications on social reforms are as given below:

He has been delivering Dhamma talks on Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation (SLBC) since 1979. More than 8000 speeches have been broadcasted so far and still continuing.

He has attended four International Buddhist Conferences of World Fellowship of Buddhist at Colombo, Kathmandu, Bangkok and New Delhi. He was a nominated member of Grants Committee under Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department of Culture, Government of India, New Delhi for 6 years.
